Memories I Treasure

The day I came into this world,
I was crowned with your gentle love and tender touch…
my first hug..
My first step..
my first crawl..
my first spoonfed..
my first smile..
my first word..
my first drive..
every imaginable thing i’ve perceived is because of you mommy..
Its you, who taught me.. what to do.. when to do.. how to do; what, how and where I am today is because of your essence, mommy..
You choose me my dreams.. my ambition.. my career.. my life..
In you I found my best friend and closest confidante..
Its just impossible to imagine my existence without your presence..
Mommy.. I love you so much, it hurts..

My Precious Gift

Vote: Vote Up0 Vote Down0

I remember the day you entered my world
The doctor said it’s a baby girl
I counted all your fingers and your toes
That’s just what you do, every mother knows.
I took you home as proud as could be
This precious gift God had given to me.
I changed dirty diapers and never got sleep
It was all worth it you were mine to keep.
From baby to girl, where did time go?
How could i fix the clocks to make them go slow?
You’d always have boo boo’s i’d fix with a kiss
Those silly little thing i knew i would miss.
One day i woke up a teenager was there
with beautiful brown eyes and soft skin so fair.
We had our arguements, fusses, and fights
we’d make it all better before we turned out the lights.
Then one day she said she had a surprise
With a look of worry i saw in her eyes.
My teenager was gone this i could see
Because my daughter was now a mother to be.
My baby, my girl, my teen is now grown
A woman she’s become with a girl of her own.
your the joy in my life i’ll never again find
I hope she fills your heart with love like you do mine.

My Mother Is My Life Line

My mother is my lifeline, she is my complete savior,
She does everything she can for me, and for that I praise her,
She went without when I was younger so I could have nice stuff,
She worked herself to the bone, but never did she give up.

My mother is my lifeline, she is truly my best friend,
she help me through the good and bad, she stayed there till the end,
she pick me up when I was down and wiped the tears away,
she will be there when I need her every night and everyday.

My mother is my lifeline, she’s completely a shining star,
she has never made me feel alone, no distance is too far,
she’ll travel to the moon and back, if I ask her to.
My mother is my lifeline, this poem I wrote for you.

Thoughts Of You

Memories of another time still come
To me and fill my mind, with thoughts
Of you when you were young. I lie awake
‘Till the morning sun comes creeping
Through my window shade, as I dwell upon
Mistakes I’ve made. What I would give to
Go back in time and feel you’re little
Hand in mine. To cherish each fast and
Fleeting day. To hold you close and kiss
Away, each pain that life will have in
Store and try to give you so much more.
You are part and will always be, imbedded in the soul of me. While I’m
Here, I want to say, that I’ve loved you
Each and every day and when my time on
Earth is gone. The privilege was mine to have been your Mom.

My Miracle

FROM THE MOMENT YOUR WERE BORN
I KNEW WHAT LOVE WAS REALLY ABOUT
I LOVED YOU MORE THAN ANYTHING
BEYOND THE SHADOW OF A DOUBT
THE BOND I FELT WAS UNBREAKABLE
AND INSTANTLY I KNEW
THAT I WOULD SPEND ETERNITY
THANKING GOD FOR MY MIRACLE, YOU
TIME HAS QUICKLY PASSED US BY
AND NOW YOU’RE QUITE THE LITTLE LADY
BUT IN MY EYES YOU WILL ALWAYS BE
MY PRECIOUS LITTLE BABY
ONE DAY IN THE FUTURE
GOD WILL BLESS YOU WITH A MIRACLE TOO
THEN YOU WILL KNOW THE DEPTH OF LOVE
THAT I WILL ALWAYS HAVE FOR YOU
I WILL BE HERE FOR YOU ALWAYS
AND FOREVER AND A DAY
LOVING YOU UNCONDITIONALLY
EVERY STEP ALONG THE WAY

Her Hands

Her hands held me gently from the day I took my first breath.
Her hands helped to guide me as I took my first step.
Her hands held me close when the tears would start to fall.
Her hands were quick to show me that she would take care of it all.

Her hands were there to brush my hair, or straighten a wayward bow.
Her hands were often there to comfort the hurts that didn’t always show.
Her hands helped hold the stars in place, and encouraged me to reach.
Her hands would clap and cheer and praise when I captured them at length.

Her hands would also push me, though not down or in harms way.
Her hands would punctuate the words, just do what I say.
Her hands sometimes had to discipline, to help bend this young tree.
Her hands would shape and mold me into all she knew I could be.

Her hands are now twisting with age and years of work,
Her hand now needs my gentle touch to rub away the hurt.
Her hands are more beautiful than anything can be.
Her hands are the reason I am me.

What I Would Do For You

What I Would Do For You

I would do just about anything you’d ask,
For you there’s nothing I wouldn’t do, there’s no such task.

I would walk without my shoes to the end of the Earth,
I would give up anything I had to, to teach you self worth.

I would hold your hand every minute of every day,
But I won’t because I know you need to find your own way.

I would surely bear the heartache of your first love that’s real,
Even though I can’t, I will naturally feel as you feel.

I would sell my soul if it would keep you happy forever,
I would give my right arm to keep us forever together.

I would run a hundred miles up-hill in the rain,
Just to guarantee that you will never feel pain.

I would laugh with you even if I was sad,
I will give you a smile even if I’m mad.

I can only accept your mistakes with a grin on my face,
I will guide you in correcting them, but at your own pace.

I will guide you through life, as this world can get quite wild,
Just don’t you ever forget that you will always be my child.

A Mother’s Love

Don’t you know that I possess,
the deepest love for you?

For all my heart, my soul, my mind,
envelops the two of you.

I have always made a point,
to let you know how much -

The two of you mean to me
as my life you’ve truly touched.

There is no other love,
to compare this feeling to -

To help you understand,
this mother’s love for you.

Even when I’m angry
and could turn my head and cry -

My love goes on enduring,
no matter how severe our trial.

I may not always like you,
or approve the things you do -

But write it down in your heart-of-hearts - my loves forever true.

Mother

I watched my Mom fill out an application.
I looked at the line that asks about past professions.
I thought to myself, that space is too small
To write down what she’s been, to cover it all.
She was a nurse when I fell and scraped my knee.
She was a maid when I didn’t wipe my feet.
She was a designer when my clothes didn’t match.
She was a tailor when my pants needed a patch.
She was a teacher when I asked a question.
She was a priest when I had a confession.
She was a psychiatrist when I came home crying.
She was a preacher when I got caught lying.
She was a singer when she sung me to sleep.
She was a lifeguard when she said the water’s too deep.
There are many more, yet the best one to me,
She was a best friend and mine forever she’ll be.
